Developers of O2Media hmr-600w, aka iTab 48r, aka Ellion hmr-600h, aka 4geek Medley 3, assert that the tuner inside the player is totally compatible with dvb-t2 standard.
They also add
As for the DVBT2 for HD broadcasting(not SD) which is being spreaded in EU wide including UK(main broadcasting) or Italy(regional testing), we need to prepare solution(ex, FW upgrade, demodulator adjustment or other solution) to support DVBT2 completely.
If having any field issue on DVBT2 let's share information each other, or by monitoring the site.
But as far as I know the dvb-t2 standard (wich is arrived to final stage just a few month ago) requires a totally new tuner with a totally different technology inside. I know that now only Humax has produced a dvb-t2 decoder for UK market and only some new tv (produced in 2010) will have dvb-t2 tuner. So it is not possible to make changes to actual dvb-t in order to transorm it in dvb-t2.
