3D Media Preparation:

• You MUST PRE-FORMAT YOUR 3D CONTENT for this device
• Prepare or purchase your 3D Media in a 3D input format supported by your 3D HDTV
• Use a compression method that does not degrade the 3D source format for Checkboard or Interlaced 3D
• This will connect via HDMI 1.3 to an HDMI 1.4 3D TV, but the 3D TV will not 'auto-sense' your 3D format. Either use the native 3D format for your 3D media format or use a format that can be selected in your 3D TV on-screen menu.

Optimal and Recommend 3D Formats supported by this device:

• 1080p Above-Below 3D (Half Height)
• 1080p Side-by-Side 3D (Half Width)
• 1080p Checkerboard 3D (Must use recommended codecs and encoder settings)
• 1080i Interlaced 3D (Must use recommended codecs and encoder settings)
• Please note, that most current HDMI 1.4 3D HDTVs allow manual selection of a 3D video input format such as above-below, side-by-side or horizontal interlaced 3D. This device will work with HDMI 1.4 HDTVs that have manual 3D format selection to support HDMI 1.3 3D signals.

3D Video Formats that this device can NOT play without additional hardware converters:

• This device does NOT support 120 Hz 3D Page-Flip Output, therefore HDTVs or Projectors that only allow for a 120 Hz 3D Video input are not supported. Please note that if your 120Hz 3D HDTV supports above-below or side-by-side 3D input such as a 3D LED HDTV, then this device will work.
• This device will NOT work on any 3D HDTVs that absolutely require an HDMI 1.4 connection to operate in 3D mode.

Qualsiasi media player a questo punto diventa una media player 3D, basta trasformare un blu ray 3d in formato Side-by-Side ossia basta schiacciare dimezzando la larghezza del fotogramma in modo da mettere nell'altra metÃ* il fotogramma corrispondente per il 3D e poi la tv si occuperÃ* di dividere il fotogramma finale in due riallargando l'immagine (ma è ovvio che ci sarÃ* perdita di qualitÃ*).
Per il 3D vero, ossia due fotogrammi inviati contemporaneamente, il WD TV non è in grado di fare nulla, così come il LaCie LaCinema.
E comunque tutto questo richiede che voi trasformiate il video con un computer e un software apposito (a pagamento). Tanto vale comprare un vero player 3D.

Quello che hanno fatto nel sito indicato da Kellion è solo un trucchetto per invogliare la gente a comprare. Di fatto non dicono bugie, ma sfruttano la non-conoscenza della gente in materia di 3D e software per computer.
